Cone Crushers are mostly secondary stage reducers, though used in tertiary and quaternary stages in high capacity crushing plants. Our cone crushers have large feed size opening (to accept odd oversized material coming out of jaw crusher), and a large setting range to ensure that customer gets what he wants – 0/20mm (concrete aggregates) or 0/40mm (road aggregates) or 0/70mm (road sub base).
Cone Crushers, like jaw crushers, are compression crushers. Rock is crushed as it passes thru the crushing chamber getting compressed between the fixed liner (concave) & gyrating /rotating liner (mantle). Apart from compression, crushing actions like attrition and abrasion too come in to play, as rocks rub other rocks (rock on rock action) within the crushing chamber.
